Wild Edible and Medicinal Plants of New England

“As an attendee today in Loudon, I want to say that it was an excellent class.  Very informative and well presented.  The professor was the best and the hospitality extended by you and your family was very gracious – a kindred spirit was felt.  Thank you for the great opportunity to learn more about God’s creation”.      Gerry

Did you know that many choice edible plants and mushrooms have no poisonous look-alikes?   The New Hampshire Outdoor Learning Center is proud to offer several one day classes on identifying wild edible mushrooms and plants common throughout New England.  You and your class will venture into the fields and woods for a hands-on look at over one hundred varieties of plants and mushrooms (separate classes).

After the harvest, we will head back to the kitchen where our instructors will cook up several samples of your hard work.  Nature’s garden is home to some of the finest table fare and it’s all available to you!  So, put on your hiking boots, grab your camera and notebook, and come join us for a day of adventure as we learn the names and uses of dozens of wild New England plants and mushrooms.  Warning!!! Foraging for wild edibles is very addictive.  If you love hunting, fishing, or other outdoor recreational activities, this skill can increase your confidence and quickly become a passion that you and your family can enjoy.

Classes are $165 each and include lunch and learning material.  Many folks (several from last year’s class) have already signed up and space is limited so call 603-608-8673 or sign up online today to reserve your seat.
